About NonprofitToolkits

Samantha Barnard presenting a session on digital transformation and online fundraising at the ThinkGood Summit 2020, standing in front of a full room of nonprofit professionals.

Hi, I’m Samantha Barnard, founder of NonprofitToolkits.

I’ve logged over 30,400 hours helping nonprofit professionals like you navigate the world of digital tools, fundraising platforms, and team overwhelm.

NonprofitToolkits was born from one simple truth: digital transformation doesn’t need to feel chaotic or expensive. It can feel empowering. Human. Realistic.
That’s what I’m here for!

My Journey

Before launching NonprofitToolkits, I served as Deputy Director at Phambano Technology Development Centre, where I helped nonprofits across Southern Africa access digital tools, training, and support.

I’ve spoken at events like the ThinkGood Summit, been featured on the TechSoup global platform, and led hundreds of workshops and webinars for small teams doing big work.

In 2018 I was a featured facilitator at Facebook’s NGO Day event in Sandton, sharing practical insights into building engaging Facebook Pages for nonprofits. That same year, I led a Trialogue Business in Society breakout session on how nonprofits can use digital tools like Facebook for fund-raising and engagement.

You don’t need to know how to code. You need someone who gets the messy day-to-day of nonprofit life and helps you build digital systems that make sense.

I had the opportunity to speak on the TechSoup stage about why nonprofits shouldn’t fear livestreaming. In this session, I break down the tools, tips, and mindset shifts that helped me and the teams I’ve supported show up online with ease.
